Spin & Go is a fast-paced Hyper-Turbo Sit & Go tournament for three players. You can choose a buy-in between $0.25 and $100. $1, $2, $5, $10, $25 or $50 are also available. The trick is that before the start of the round a kind of wheel of fortune is turned and a multiplier is determined at random. Thus, the prize pool is a multiple of the buy-in. In the worst case, you can only win twice, in the best case 10,000 times. For Spin & Go tournaments you can choose between Texas Hold’em and Omaha.
Regardless of the buy-in size and the randomly determined prize pool, each player starts the Spin & Go tournament with 500 chips. That’s the equivalent of 25 big blinds at a 10/20 level. The level is increased every three minutes. The winner receives the entire prize pool. The three highest multipliers or price levels are an exception: here the first and second place each receive 10% of the prize money. Agreements and deals regarding the division of money are not possible in Spin & Go.

- Avoid calls with speculative cards
If you have nothing in your hand and can only speculate on one poker hand, avoid calls that will cost you more than 10% of your current stack. With Spin & Go you invest too much with a call before the flop if the chances are bad.
- Stealing the blinds
Stealing the blinds is particularly important in Spin & Go. Raise the smallest amount possible as a button and post two and a half times the big blind in the small blind position if you have a large enough stack of at least nine big blinds. Think about a suitable range.
- Small blind
In the small blind, 3-bet or fold is recommended. By simply calling, you are in off-position and give the big blind the opportunity to squeeze the expected value of your hand further. When playing with low stacks and high ranges for stealing the blinds, the 3-bet strategy is more profitable than a clean call.
- Push or fold with a small stack
If your stack has shrunk to less than ten big blinds, play push or fold as a button and small blind. You don’t have enough room to play post-flop and you can’t afford to 3-bet.
